We’re delighted to announce that our development at Rayleigh, Essex, has been awarded a score of 42 out of 45 under the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS).
The development – a 60 bedroom care home for leading care provider Barchester Healthcare – was praised on a number of levels, including respect for the community, care for the environment, and the extent to which we value our workforce.
The project scored 14/15 in each of these areas.
The assessors praised the level of communication with the local community and our Social Value Action Plan which sets clear targets to increase the social value return on investment for the development.
They also pointed to our commitment to minimise carbon emissions, our post-completion plan to improve ecology and biodiversity, and our training and workforce well-being initiatives.
In summary, the report stated that the development is conforming to the CCS code to an excellent standard and benefits from ‘positive leadership’ ensuring that the site is presentable and safe.
The report and certificate are a credit to Project Manager Wayne Bedier and the team – we’re extremely proud of them. Well done all!
