Kori Construction has continued its growth trajectory after securing four new care home developments with long-standing clients Care UK and Barchester Healthcare.
The projects, with a combined value of £47 million, will deliver new care beds across the South of England, further strengthening Kori’s position as one of the UK’s leading specialist care and later living contractors.
The appointments build on Kori’s strong track record with both operators. The company has successfully delivered four projects for Barchester Healthcare and three for Care UK, with a further Care UK development currently under construction.
For Care UK, Kori will deliver a 78-bedroom care home at Stomp Road, Burnham. The development will feature en-suite bedrooms, a café, celebration room, hair salon, lounges and dining areas, alongside thoughtfully designed landscaped gardens and private outdoor spaces.
Kori has also been appointed to deliver a 72-bedroom care home at Princes Road, Weybridge for Care UK. The project includes the demolition of an existing office building and the construction of a purpose-built care facility designed to support high-quality residential and dementia care.
For Barchester Healthcare, Kori will construct a 64-bedroom care home at Wenham Holt, Liss. The development will provide dining and day facilities, communal living spaces and landscaped gardens designed to support resident wellbeing.
A second Barchester Healthcare project at Lower Wokingham Road, Crowthorne, will provide a 60-bedroom care home offering nursing care for elderly, frail and memory care residents, alongside high-quality communal amenities and landscaped external spaces.
The four developments are scheduled for completion from late 2027 and throughout 2028 and will each incorporate tailored social value initiatives, delivering measurable benefits to local communities through employment opportunities, skills development, education engagement and community partnerships.
Jordan Connachie, Managing Director at Kori Construction, said:
“Securing four new projects with two of the UK’s leading care operators is a significant achievement for Kori and demonstrates the strength of the relationships we have built through consistently delivering high-quality schemes.”
“Over the past few years, the business has experienced substantial growth, expanding both our turnover and project portfolio while maintaining our specialist focus on the care and later living sectors. These latest appointments provide further evidence of the confidence that clients place in our team, our expertise and our collaborative approach to project delivery.”
“Together, these developments will provide 274 new care beds at a time when demand for high-quality care accommodation continues to increase. We look forward to working closely with Care UK, Barchester Healthcare and our wider project partners to create exceptional environments for future residents.”
Tony Robinson, Pre-Construction Director at Kori Construction, added:
“These appointments are particularly pleasing because they come from repeat clients who understand the value that Kori brings throughout the development process. Our teams have worked closely with both operators during pre-construction to develop schemes that maximise resident experience, operational efficiency and long-term building performance.”
“As our project portfolio continues to grow, we remain focused on maintaining the high standards, attention to detail and collaborative approach that have enabled us to build lasting relationships with some of the sector’s most respected operators. We are excited to see all four schemes progress into delivery.”
The latest project wins further strengthen Kori Construction’s growing portfolio within the care and later living sectors and continue the company’s expansion as demand for specialist accommodation increases across the UK.
