We awarded £2,500 from the Corby Community Fund to The Corby Christmas Project to provide gifts and food parcels for local families at Christmas.
The Corby Christmas Project is a community group that works with schools in Corby to find families who need support over the festive season.
Our donation will help provide gifts for children to open on Christmas Day, including a coat, pyjamas, age-appropriate toys, toiletries and games. Families will also get a food parcel so they can make Christmas dinner and have snacks over the holidays.
Susan Bird visited the team at The Corby Christmas Project to learn about their work and how they bring Christmas magic to so many local children year after year.
“Meeting the team was such a heart-warming experience. The care and effort they put into making sure every child has something special to open on Christmas morning is amazing. Christmas can be a difficult time for many families, and we’re really proud to help the project make it a happier one for children across Corby.”
