We donated £2,228 from the Project Community Fund to Freemantles School in Woking, as part of our scheme on Egley Road, Woking.
Freemantles School educates children and young people aged 4 to 19 who have complex social and communication needs, including autism. The donation will help the school create a new Animal Care Unit, which will add to its outdoor learning department and give students new opportunities.
Our Construction Director, Scott Bartlett, and Design Manager, Anthony Mackin, visited the school to meet the teachers and hear how the unit will benefit the students’ learning.
“It was a pleasure to visit Freemantles School and meet the teachers. You could see how much the students already get from outdoor learning, and the new Animal Care Unit will give them even more chances to learn, build confidence and develop new skills. We’re proud to support the school as part of our work in Woking.”
