Graduate HSEQ Advisor

Kori Construction is a fast growing, award-winning contractor delivering high-quality projects across the later living and multi-room sectors. Known for our high standards, ambitious growth, and forward-thinking approach, we’ve quickly established ourselves as one of the industry’s most exciting businesses.

Winner of the 2024 Construction News Workforce Award for Best Place to Work and recognised in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Places to Work, we’re passionate about creating an environment where people can thrive, develop, and build long-term careers. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Graduate HSEQ Advisor to join the team.

The Role

Salary: £28,000 – £34,000

The Graduate HSEQ Advisor will support the delivery of health and safety, environmental and quality activities across our construction projects. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll help with site inspections, incident data and trend analysis, training records, toolbox talks, audits and environmental monitoring.

You’ll rotate across health and safety, quality and environment, gaining practical site experience and learning Kori Construction’s way of working from the start. This is an opportunity to build a broad foundation for a career in HSEQ while making a useful contribution to our project teams.

The Day to Day

  • Support site inspections alongside experienced colleagues, recording observations and helping follow up on actions
  • Help maintain HSEQ records, including training records, inspection findings and audit evidence
  • Analyse incident data to identify trends and support improvements
  • Help prepare and deliver toolbox talks and other HSEQ briefings
  • Support internal audits and help track corrective actions
  • Assist with environmental monitoring and reporting on site
  • Work with site teams to understand how health and safety, quality and environmental requirements apply in practice.
  • Rotate across health and safety, quality and environment activities to build a broad understanding of HSEQ in construction.

Who are you?

  • A graduate in occupational safety and health, environmental science, construction management or a related subject
  • Interested in building a career across health and safety, quality and environment
  • Comfortable spending time on construction sites and learning from experienced colleagues
  • Organised and attentive to detail, with an interest in working with data and keeping accurate records
  • A clear communicator who can work well with site teams and ask questions when unsure
  • Willing to work towards the **NEBOSH Construction Certificate** and **SMSTS** in your first year if you don’t already hold them
  • An IOSH-accredited degree is welcome, but not essential, and can provide a direct route to CertIOSH.
