We awarded a £2,450 donation from our Corby Community Fund to Rockingham Forest Trust at Stanwick Lakes, helping families in Corby connect with nature.
The Trust works in partnership with Corby Children’s Centre, and the donation supports the Nature Families project. The project helps disadvantaged families visit Stanwick Lakes and encourages parents and pre-school children to connect with nature.
“We are delighted to receive this funding from the Kori Community Fund, which will allow us to invite families from Corby to experience outdoor learning and play at Stanwick Lakes. On their visit, the preschool children and their families will be able to take part in hands-on nature activities, including listening to birds, watering the plants in the heritage gardens and splashing in puddles!”

Nature Engagement Coordinator, Rockingham Forest Trust
Since then, our donation has enabled 34 families from the Pen Green and Kingswood Children’s Centres to visit Stanwick Lakes for Nature Families sessions.
