Kori Construction strengthens Board with HSEQ Director appointment to support continued growth

News

Kori Construction has strengthened its board of directors with the appointment of Richard Ball as HSEQ Director, as the business continues its growth trajectory with revenues expected to exceed £100m and a forward order book of £200m.

The appointment marks a significant milestone for the Corby-based contractor as it scales its operations across the care home, later living and multi-room sectors, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Richard Ball has played a pivotal role in reshaping the company’s approach to health, safety, environment and quality. His leadership has driven a cultural shift across the business, embedding best practice at both site and organisational level.

Richard has led numerous strategic initiatives, including the advancement of wellbeing and mental health programmes, alongside the implementation of digital safety and workforce management systems in partnership with Inndex.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director Jordan Connachie said:

“Richard has lived and breathed our ethos from day one. He has embedded himself within the delivery teams, providing practical support, encouraging collaboration, and helping to raise standards across all our sites.

“As we continue to grow at pace, strengthening our leadership team is critical. Richard’s appointment to the board reflects his impact to date and the important role HSEQ plays in supporting our journey.

“When we reflect on defining moments for the business, when we’ve really moved the needle forward, they almost always come down to people. Richard is one of those people. He has helped shape the business into what it is today and continues to play a key role in where we are going.”

The move is one of several promotions across the business, as Kori continues to deliver ongoing growth in the care home, later living, and multi-room sectors.

Paul Cannon has been promoted to Contracts Manager, George Donnelly and James Bellamy step up to Project Manager roles, Jess Askew becomes Accounts Manager, and Jack Stevenson has been promoted to Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Looking ahead, Kori Construction is continuing to invest in its leadership structure, with plans underway to appoint a Head of Design and Head of People in the coming weeks.

These strategic appointments underline Kori Construction’s ambition to strengthen its operational capability, enhance governance and build a platform for sustained, long-term growth as project demand continues to increase.
