Team Kori chalk up the miles towards our charity target!

Sustainability

An intrepid team from Kori Construction chalked up an impressive 294 miles on Saturday, November 5th, to raise money for our charity of the year, Lakelands Hospice in Corby.  11 members of staff cycled the 23-mile route around Rutland Water, and a further five completed an 8.2 mile walk along the bank of the reservoir.

The walkers beat the cyclists by half an hour, completing the trek in 2.5 hours!  The distance brings the total number of miles covered as part of our charity fund raising efforts to 385, leaving another 1,637 miles to cover to reach our target of 2022 miles by May 2023.

In the same time, we are aiming to raise a minimum of £20,220 for Lakelands Hospice, which delivers care and palliative support for people with cancer, heart failure, and other life-limiting conditions in Northamptonshire.  Lakelands Hospice is a fantastic charity that receives no statutory NHS or Government funding and relies on the support from the community in Corby borough to continue to provide its award-winning levels of care.

Watch out for future fund raising events as we move towards our deadline and if you would like to support us in helping Lakelands Hospice continue its fantastic work, please visit our Just Giving page here
