The Kori team has started work on a care home in the picturesque town of Moreton-in-Marsh, for new client Taylor and Taylor. Situated on a 1.4 acre vacant site adjacent to the North Cotswold Community Hospital and Four Shires Medical Centre, the development will be set over two floors and includes 60 ensuite bedrooms.
Once completed, it will also include an open foyer with café, cinema room, hairdressing, family playroom, four dining areas, four lounge areas and extensive external landscaping with 18 car parking spaces. The development will help to meet high demand for care and later life services in the Cotswolds, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The negotiated scheme was secured by our Pre-construction team and involved detailed analysis of the ground conditions to work up a cost-effective vibro piling sub-structure solution to achieve the client’s budget. Kori’s design department also worked closely with the client and their consultant team from RIBA stage 2 to ensure the design is commercial viable in the context of the area.
