Kori Construction Secures 70-Bed Care Home Scheme with Oakland Care

News

Kori Construction has been appointed by Oakland Care to deliver a new state-of-the-art 70-bed care home in Fleet, Hampshire.

This development marks the first collaboration between Kori Construction and Oakland Care, a leading provider of luxury residential, nursing, memory and respite care across the South East of England.

Situated on Cove Road, the thoughtfully designed care home will feature en-suite wet rooms in all bedrooms and an array of high-end amenities, including a café, Entertainment Suite , hair and beauty salon, multiple lounge and dining areas, balcony and terrace access, and landscaped gardens.

The home has been designed to provide a warm and welcoming environment that promotes independence and well-being for residents.

In line with Kori and Oakland Care’s commitment to sustainability, the new care home will be fully electric-powered and built to achieve BREEAM accreditation, ensuring high environmental performance standards. The building’s energy-efficient design will contribute to net-zero operations, reducing its long-term carbon footprint.

Richard Dooley, Director of Development at Oakland Care, commented: “We are excited to be working with Kori Construction on our next new development in Fleet.  The construction of the 70-bedroom care home will mark a further expansion of our portfolio in the wider southeast area and will add to our market-leading ESG credentials in the care sector”.

Scott Bartlett, Construction Director at Kori Construction, added: “We are delighted to be delivering this exciting new flagship care home for Oakland Care.

“The scheme represents a forward-thinking approach to later living, prioritising quality and sustainability – two of our key values here at Kori.

“We look forward to working closely with Oakland Care to bring this vision to life.”

Beyond delivering a high-quality care home, the project is committed to creating significant social and economic value in the local community through Kori Construction’s Social Value Action Plan, which will generate £3,251,955 in social value.

This will be accomplished through initiatives such as hiring locally, engaging with local suppliers, and offering apprenticeships and training opportunities to young people.

Construction is set to commence shortly, with completion targeted for 2027.
