Barchester Healthcare has appointed Kori to deliver a fourth care home scheme on Egley Road, Woking. This new development will feature a 62-bed care facility, complete with en-suite bedrooms, a hair salon, an activities room, a café, and a cinema, providing residents with a variety of amenities to enhance their quality of life.
The care home will be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), ensuring 24-hour support and care that meets comprehensive residential, nursing, and dementia care needs, including end-of-life and palliative services.
Designed to blend seamlessly into the local environment, the care home will incorporate elements from the local architectural style, utilising materials such as brick, plain concrete tiles, and render.
Additionally, the development will include external features such as a new site entrance, staff and visitor parking, hard landscaping with site features and furniture, a cycle store, a bin store, and soft landscaping.
Kori has recently completed a 60-bed care home in Rayleigh for Barchester Healthcare and is currently constructing two further schemes in Bracknell and Stourbridge.
This project has already commenced its site establishment phase and is expected to be completed in 2026.
